State History Day 2025

May 2, 2025

Congrats to two students from Lyndon Town School for earning special recognitions at State History Day on April 5th!

1st Place in Junior Documentary - Lauren Richardson

Lauren has made an engaging iMovie or short film about the International Whaling Commission and the history of whaling in the United States. She had a focus on whale conservation and regulations that changed the path of their near extinction. She also earned a special prize for showcasing an exemplary project around environmentalism!

International Topic Special Prize - Natalie Leonard

Natalie earned a special prize for an exemplary international history project. She created an individual performance about Marquis de Lafayette and his writing of the Universal Rights of Man and its impact on individuals, society, and government during the French Revolution.

We would also like to congratulate LTS teacher, Tyler Willis, who received an award for the VT History Day Teacher of the Year!
