Sutton School & Miller's Run School Employee Spotlight: Prudence Kaczowski

May 12, 2025

Meet Prudence Kaczowski, Miller's Run & Sutton School, Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)!

Prudence Kaczowski, also known as Ms. K to her PK-8th grade students, has worked with Miller's Run, Sutton School, and ¾«¶«´«Ã½ East for over 15 years!

Ms. K’s journey into education began in the most natural and meaningful way. When her son started kindergarten in Ms. Ramsey’s class, Ms. K found herself becoming more involved within the school. She quickly discovered how much she loved working with young children and being part of their learning experience. Recognizing her passion and natural connection with the students and comfortability in a school setting, Ms. Ramsey offered her a position as her kindergarten assistant. It was a perfect fit—not only did it allow Ms. K to be close to her son during such an important year, but it also sparked a new career path. That opportunity marked the beginning of her journey as an educator, and we’re so grateful it brought her to our team.

Ms. K was asked a series of questions regarding his time at Miller's Run, Sutton School and with ¾«¶«´«Ã½ East School District. Below are some of the questions that were asked, followed by his answers.

Q: What is your favorite thing about working in a school?

Answer: "I love watching children learn and grow and grow. I enjoy getting to know their personalities and building relationships with them".

Q: What have been some of your favorite moments as an educator?

Answer: "I had a nonverbal student who struggled with behavior issues because of his anger due to his communication abilities. This student really struggled with reaching his goals but suddenly when he was able to speak his whole world changed and his behavior changed.  He was always a caring person inside but unable to show it due to his frustration".

Q: What are you looking forward to about this school year?

Answer: "I am looking forward to sharing our end of the school year field trip with them".

“The job of an educator is to teach students to see the vitality in themselves”  is  a quote that truly reflects Ms. K’s approach in the classroom over the years. Her calm, encouraging presence and genuine belief in each child’s potential have helped countless students grow not only academically, but also in confidence and self-worth. Ms. K has a gift for recognizing the unique strengths in every student and nurturing them with care and consistency. Through her work, she has inspired children to believe in themselves, explore their abilities, and feel proud of who they are. Her teaching is a beautiful example of this quote in action.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. K for her 15 years of dedicated service to Miller’s Run School, Sutton School, and the entire ¾«¶«´«Ã½ East School District. Over the years, Ms. K has gone above and beyond to support her students with compassion, patience, and unwavering commitment. Her impact reaches far beyond the classroom—she has helped shape a positive, nurturing environment where children feel seen, supported, and inspired to learn. Thank you, Ms. K, for all that you do and for the difference you continue to make in the lives of so many students and families. Your hard work and heart have left a lasting mark on our school communities. We appreciate you and are so happy to have you on our team of educators and support staff!
