Winter Outdoor Camp 2023

March 13, 2023

During February break, seven students and two leaders made the trip to Stratton, Vermont where they snowshoed into a Vermont Huts Association's hut. At Grout Pond hut, students learned how to cook over a fire, tie knots, build a quinzee shelter, and much more. This overnight trip proved to push everyone out of their comfort zone in one way or another, and the students handled the challenges with confidence and great teamwork. Students also got to spend time cross country skiing, snowshoeing, skating, and sledding in the NEK during break.
